Youth Soccer Program Expands To Malls, And With Union

Super Soccer Stars

It is back to school, and we know how impactful the youth soccer community can be the Delaware Valley. Another group who has noticed, and it looks like you will be hearing and seeing more of, is New York based Super Soccer Stars. The company, which is one of the largest in the country working with boys and girls as they just start playing the game, announced a deal last week to put a facility into the Oxford Valley Mall, and today announced a partnership with Philadelphia Union, their first program with a Major League Soccer club.

The experiential retail store at Oxford Valley will offer a playful space to teach kids soccer skills in a fun noncompetitive, educational environment. Specially designed classes use positive reinforcement with a low child-to-coach ratio ensuring the needs of each child are met while steadily improving at their own rate.

“Consumers seek more experiential environments and Super Soccer Stars is excited to open its first interactive retail store offering Oxford Valley Mall’s community a fun, playful space to enjoy our unique soccer classes,” said Adam Geisler, CEO of Super Soccer Stars. “We continue to find new and innovative ways to empower today’s youth through sport and plan to roll out more of these concepts together across the country.”

Classes will begin at Oxford Valley Mall on Saturday, September 21 focusing on age-specific techniques for children of all levels.

The partnership with Union will make the company the Official One-to-Six Year Old Youth Soccer Program of Philadelphia Union, bringing their unparalleled early childhood curriculum and coaching expertise to further enhance the amazing Philadelphia Union Youth Program. Open enrollment classes will be co-branded with the Union, introducing the game of soccer to young players throughout the region. The program will provide families the opportunity to upcoming Union promotions, discounted game tickets, Union newsletters, and the chance to watch their heroes in action.

All fall and spring participants will receive a free Philadelphia Union ticket to a pre-determined game, which will include a game day experience, featuring a pre-game youth soccer clinic outside Talen Energy Stadium, and unique on-field opportunities for select participants, such as the Player High Five Tunnel. Families will also have the opportunity to purchase additional game day tickets at a significantly discounted rate, with $5 of every purchase donated in support of Philadelphia Union Youth Programming.

“Super Soccer Stars has built an amazing business for those kids who are learning to love all aspects of the game of soccer at a very young age,” said David Pettican, Philadelphia Union Youth General Manager. “This partnership will enable us to further engage with our loyal fan base, especially those younger families who are looking for a safe, fun and healthy activity for their children whilst having an amazing opportunity to be connected to the Union.”

While both announcements were standalone, it is clear that if you are a young family around soccer in the area, you will cross paths with Super Soccer Stars in the coming months. At time when we need to get kids up and out and engaged in activities, their expanded footprint is a great win for our area.
