NLL

The National Lacrosse League (@NLL), the world’s most successful professional lacrosse league, has renewed its partnership with Team 22, the exclusive manufacturer of Under Armour Lacrosse (@UALacrosse). Team 22 will continue to distribute high quality lacrosse equipment to NLL players.

“Our elite lacrosse players will continue to have top notch equipment at their fingertips as a result of this partnership with world class companies Team 22 and Under Armour,” said Kevin Morgan, NLL Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. “Paul Gait and his staff at Team 22 have done a tremendous job of supplying our athletes with superior equipment and apparel. We look forward to joining forces to continue to provide our fans with the best entertainment in sports.”

Under Armour became the National Lacrosse League’s supplier of performance apparel, footwear and equipment in 2013. The renewed partnership strengthens a bond between the largest indoor lacrosse league in the world with one of the most prominent lacrosse manufacturers on the planet. The best and most talented lacrosse players will remain equipped with the most advanced gear in the industry and the equipment will allow them to perform at an elite level and entertain fans both in-arena and on B/R Live.

“On behalf of Curt Styres and myself, Team 22 is very happy to continue our support of the NLL,” said Paul Gait, President of Team 22 and NLL Hall of Famer. “We are very strong supporters of the league and believe that it is the premier professional lacrosse league. I personally look forward to my 30th year with the league and have truly enjoyed every bit of the past 29 years as a player, coach, executive and sponsor of the league.”

The ongoing partnership is reflective of the League’s commitment to grow and showcase the world’s best lacrosse players. NLL players will have the opportunity to proudly compete while wearing Under Armour equipment when the 2019-20 season begins on November 29th.

The NLL is North America’s largest and most premier professional lacrosse league, ranking third in average attendance for pro indoor sports, with 13 teams in key markets across North America. The NLL experienced substantial growth last season with nearly a million total ticket sales, a 28

percent increase from 2017-18, and 60 percent of ticket sales were from people who never played lacrosse. Digital viewership also rose significantly through Turner and B/R Live, showing substantial increases in total unit sales (up 151 percent from last year), average unique viewers (+27 percent) and average minute audiences (+14 percent). Sponsorship revenues are projected at a 29 percent increase from 2018 to 2019. For the most up to date information and breaking news, sign up for the NLL newsletter at NLL.com.
